We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Sheet Metal", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Free design software supports Linux range from CAD Schroer, which we summarised at the time by saying "Medusa4 Personal users can benefit from additional functionality and support for the current versions of CentOS, Fedora, Mandriva, RedHat, SuSE and Ubuntu Linux". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release CAD software receives press design update from Delcam: "Delcam Toolmaker CAD software's deep-draw press tool design updates shorten design time by providing dedicated functionality for many of the tasks involved in preparing the tooling".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Rodriguez (UK) concerning its Framo Morat Compacta - take a look at Geared motor slips into position precisely which says: "Compact geared motor is ideal for repeatable positioning and reversing tasks in applications where space is at a premium".

Take a look also at the news release from Crucible Industrial Design, Striking box design gives comms console an edge, as well as Important changes to guard interlocking standard from Pilz Automation Technology, and Metalworkers are explicit about 3D modelling from CoCreate Software.
