We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Special Purpose Machine", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Heavy-duty guides handle dusty machine environment from HepcoMotion, which we summarised at the time by saying "Linear motion system has the reliability to meet the needs of a project that demanded no manual intervention". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Conveyor maximises useable width from Automation Supplies: "Conveyor belt drive system eradicates all the common problems associated with conventionally driven belt conveyors".

In September 2006, we covered the news from Applied Automation (UK) MayTec Division concerning its MayTec aluminium profiles - take a look at Flexible frames ease laser system assembly which says: "Many manufacturers of special purpose machinery in the UK, are switching over from fabricated machine frames to more flexible solutions using extruded aluminium profiles".

Take a look also at the news release from Lenze, Hydraulic brake holds special purpose machine, as well as Infra-red emitters help produce cleaner welds from Heraeus Noblelight, and IR welding technique raises quality and cuts waste from Heraeus Noblelight.
