We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Spherical Roller Bearings", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Bearings offer increased lifespans from Schaeffler (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "Schaeffler's X-life FAG E1 spherical roller thrust bearings suffer less wear due to optimised lubricant film formation". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Split spherical roller bearings reduce costs from Schaeffler (UK): "The FAG range of split bearings includes both glass fibre re-inforced polyamide or brass cages, and for special applications, split bearings with separate clamping rings can be supplied".

In May 2007, we covered the news from NSK UK concerning its Super-TF steel - take a look at Bearings tolerate contaminated lubricants which says: "Super-TF bearings offer up to 10 times the life of ordinary carburised steel when used with contaminated lubrication".

Take a look also at the news release from Schaeffler (UK), Reconditioned bearings save money, as well as Steel mill converter brought back into operation from Schaeffler (UK), and Bearings protect mine against downtime from Revolvo.
