We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Surface Roughness", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release A bearing on green design from NSK UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "Rolling bearings provide the key to energy conservation and preservation of natural resources through improved machine life, says Kevin Delehanty". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Remote monitors connect over Ethernet from Pepperl+Fuchs GB: "Billed as the process industry's first generation of visualisation solutions to communicate exclusively via existing Ethernet TCP/IP network infrastructure".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Schaeffler (UK) concerning its Schaeffler's INA and FAG bearings - take a look at Choosing the right bearing coating which says: "Dr Steve Lacey, Schaeffler UK Engineering Manager, discusses the importance of selecting the right coating or corrosion-resistant material for rolling bearings operating in harsh environments".

Take a look also at the news release from Micromech, Linear bearings offer high load ratings, as well as Displacement sensors offer high resolution from Micro-Epsilon UK, and Predicting failure with bearing vibration analysis from Schaeffler (UK).
