We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Tie-rod", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Hybrids offer the best of both worlds from Hoerbiger-Origa, which we summarised at the time by saying "There are many linear actuation applications where the choice between hydraulics and pneumatics is a tradeoff, says Gary Dawson of Hoerbiger-Origa". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Rod cylinder redesigned from Hoerbiger-Origa: "Hoerbiger-Origa has redesigned its AZ piston rod cylinder, available in profile tube or tie-rod versions, double acting, and with the option of through piston rod operation".

In October 2006, we covered the news from Parker Hannifin - take a look at Watford plant to stop manufacturing which says: "Parker Hannifin is entering into a period of consultation with employees and their representatives to phase out manufacturing at a plant within its Cylinder Division located in Watford, Hertfordshire".

Take a look also at the news release from Parker Hannifin, CAD software creates 3D cylinder models, as well as Hydraulics technology moves the floor from Parker Hannifin, and Cylinders and torque motors form pipe handler from Parker Hannifin.
