We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Virtual Design", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Alliance targets virtual design and production from Rockwell Automation, which we summarised at the time by saying "Combined solution will help enable collaborative mechanical and control design with bidirectional synchronisation". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Virtual testing accelerates F1 development from Dassault Systemes: "To further cut vehicle development time, Toyota Motorsport started using DS's realistic simulation products from Simulia for virtual testing".

In October 2007, we covered the news from Technology Innovation Centre concerning its PTC Academy - take a look at Academy is dedicated to design and PLM which says: "Birmingham City University's Technology Innovation Centre (TIC) has gained a significant new educational role in industrial product design and development".

Take a look also at the news release from Unimatic Engineers, Printer offers 3D modelling in the office, as well as Technology conference scheduled in Warwickshire from Altair Engineering, and Laser-sintering machine produces lightweight chair from EOS Electro Optical Systems (UK).
