We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "WEEE", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Recycled polystyrene helps green electronics from Axion Polymers, which we summarised at the time by saying "Axpoly PS02 is fully compliant with the European RoHS Directive that bans new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of potentially harmful metals and chemicals". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Flame retardant polymer from recycled plastic from Axion Polymers: "Material potentially offers manufacturers a variety of new high value applications, particularly where offering a recycled content provides a marketing advantage or reduces production costs".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Niton UK concerning its Niton XL3 - take a look at Material analysers identify alloy grades quickly which says: "Niton XL3 x-ray fluorescence instruments now typically take less than two seconds to identify an alloy grade".
