Aaxeon releases new PCI Express Serial Cards

An Aaxeon Technologies product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 22, 2008

Aaxeon has brought out single-chip versions of the PCI Express Serial Cards.

Most PCI Express Serial Cards have two-chips and use an added bridge-chip to change a typical PCI card into a PCI Express card.

Aaxeon's single-chip design integrates everything into one chip, allowing increased throughput and reduced CPU load.

Users can now take full advantage of the PCI Express bus architecture.

The new PCI Express Serial Cards still provide serial bus speeds of 250 Mb/sec to four Gb/sec, are fully plug-and-play compatible, provide serial power over Pin-nine and have no IRQ or I/O address conflict problems.
