Aaxeon offers six-port PoE Ethernet switch

An Aaxeon Technologies product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 24, 2009

Aaxeon is releasing its LNP-602N Lanolinx six-port Managed Industrial PoE Ethernet switch.

The switch includes four 10/100BaseT(X) and two 100BaseFX Ports but also features PoE (Power over Ethernet) PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) functions that can supply up to 25W per port.

The LNP-602N's PoE feature allows it to transmit electrical power, along with data, to remote devices over standard twisted pair cable in an Ethernet network.

The support of 25W over standard 15.4W allows the LNP-602N to power devices that require higher power like WiMax transmitters and pan-tilt-zoom cameras.

Each LNP-602N switch has four 10/100BaseT(X) PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) ports.

PSE is a device that will provide power in a PoE setup.

With complete Ethernet redundancy protocol support (recovery time < 10ms over 250 units of connection) and RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1w/D); the LNP-602N helps protect critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions.

Features: ports support PSE; based on IEEE 802.3af standards (Up to 25W per Port) ring redundancy (recovery time <10ms); RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1w/D) event notification through Syslog; email; and SNMP trap web-based configuration; triple redundant DC Power Inputs; supports 10/100BaseT(X) and 100BaseFX wide operating temperature range from 40-70C; rigid IP-30 housing design DIN-Rail and panel mounting enabled; five-year warranty.
