Aaxeon releases managed media converters

Aaxeon has announced the release of the latest models in its Optolinx line of media converters.

The FCN Series converters are stand-alone managed media converters that allow users to connect an Ethernet twisted-pair network to an optical-fibre network.

The FCN Series is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3z standards.

Users can manage and monitor real-time operation status via SNMP or a web management interface.

The installation and operation procedures of the FCN Series of media converters are said to be simple and straightforward.

Key features include: compliance with IEEE 802.3 10BaseT; compliance with IEEE 802.3u 100BaseTX; compliance with IEEE 802.3ab 1000BaseT; compliance with IEEE 802.3z 1000BaseX; store and forward switching mechanism; auto-negotiation in TP port; auto cross over for MDI/MDIX in TP port; supports flow control; supports jumbo frame 9K bytes; supports link alarm; supports loop-back test; supports selectable ISP Ethernet tag type; supports Q-in-Q double-tag configuration; supports bandwidth control; supports DHCP client; supports SNMP/web managed interface; supports SNMP v1 and v2c; supports HTTP firmware upgrade; and supports power down trap management.
