The US Wittenstein Group has relocated to a new 2500m2 headquarters facility in Bartlett, Illinois, triple the size of the company's previous separate facilities.
The US Wittenstein Group (comprising Alpha Gear Drives, Wittenstein Manufacturing Corp and Wittenstein Aerospace and Simulation) has relocated to a new 2500m2 headquarters facility in Bartlett, Illinois, triple the size of the company's previous separate facilities.
According to Tim Herbst, Executive Vice President and General Manager: "This new facility gives us room to consolidate the Chicago area facilities of Alpha Gear Drives and Wittenstein Manufacturing for more efficient communications and improved customer service".
"We have a new customer training facility, additional manufacturing space and expanded warehousing and shipping/receiving facilities".
"We'll be adding technical, manufacturing and customer service personnel to better serve our growing customer base for gear drives and motion control systems".
"About 60% of the facility will be utilised initially, leaving plenty of room for expansion".
"In addition, the Wittenstein Aerospace and Simulation office in Winter Park Florida will be relocated to the new Bartlett facility, improving logistics, communications and customer service".
"The company is an innovator in control loader technology for the aerospace industry, such as reconfigurable control sticks for aircraft simulators and mission trainers".
"This move also provides space for a product showroom, a service department and for future product design and US manufacturing".
"Over the next several months, we plan to hire engineers, technical personnel and administrative people to expand this group".
The new facility is situated on a 2.4Ha site in the Brewster Creek Business Park in Bartlett, Illinois.
There is ample space for a future 5000m building expansion.
