Altair Engineering has announced that Intrinsys has joined the Hyperworks channel partner programme to resell Altair's Catia v5 integrated optimisation technology - Hypershape/Catia - to the UK.
Hypershape/Catia is a direct integration between Dassault Systemes' Catia v5 solution and Altair's Optistruct design optimisation technology.

The integrated solution helps frontload the development process with optimisation technology to assist companies in achieving the demands of modern product design.
This includes: reducing mass; minimising material content; liberating designs with novel and optimal topology; as well as enabling non finite-element experts, such as CAD engineers working with Catia, to develop structurally efficient, high-performance products in reduced timescales.
Hypershape/Catia consistently delivers improvements in design performance and allows companies to achieve product and business objectives considerably faster than conventional development methods, Altair said.
