It's the scales that count
A new range of industrial counting scales suits the needs of a variety of industries where parts counting is essential for inventory control, packaging checks and component handling.
Alarming performance from weighing scales
Adam Equipment has introduced a new range of industrial weighing scales to suit the needs of a wide variety of industries from building supplies to electronics manufacturing.
The same technology is used in the new AEP Series of compact, top loading balances which have numerous applications not only in laboratories but in the electronics industry, dispensing pharmacies and other areas where precision weighing and parts counting are needed.
An easy to use keypad gives access to a wide range of operating modes, including a choice of weighing units, statistical information, check weighing, parts counting using a sample or preset weight, filling against a bargraph display, an animal weighing noise filter and density determination with an optional density determination kit.
The features can be individually enabled or disabled, allowing the working menu to be customised to meet individual user requirements.
The large, clear LCD guides the user through the set up and operating procedures and a bargraph shows, at a glance, how much of the balance's weighing capacity has been used.
Although the balance is truly a stand-alone unit, its compact size means that text inputs are most easily handled by an external keyboard, and there is a DIN socket to take a standard PC keyboard.
The balance will print out full GLP documentation, in the users' selected format, either directly to a printer or, via the RS232 port, as an output file to a PC.
Software is available to interface with standard applications like Excel, so that data can be easily imported into reports.
The balances can be controlled remotely from a PC, which can also store the customised menu setup, or from an optional remote keypad special applications.
An important feature is the internal calibration procedure.
Pressing a button on the keypad starts a servo motor, which automatically places an internal standard weight, carries out the calibration procedure and prints a validation document.
There is an option of automatic initiation of calibration in case of major ambient temperature variations and a capability for alternative menu languages.
