ABB Automation has joined Gambica, the UK trade association for the instrumentation, control and automation industry.

ABB Automation has joined Gambica, the UK trade association for the instrumentation, control and automation industry Steve Ruddell, general manager of ABB Automation's Drives and Motors Division, says, "ABB will be taking an active role in Gambica, which offers our industry an ideal forum for the exchange of information

We will be pursuing the most effective ways of educating the market place regarding the best use of drives technology." "ABB Automation's membership adds considerable authority to the organisation," confirms Geoff Young, Gambica chief executive.

"We can now claim to include all of the industry's major players." Gambica's objectives are to further the development of the industry through influencing national and international technical standards and providing an active voice in the formulation of governmental policy.

It offers a variety of information services, including guidance on technical and commercial issues, and participates in export initiatives.
