Two former ABB drive engineers head the facility, opened at the Severnside Trading Estate by Liverpool-based ABB Drives Alliance member Central Electrical.
The new facility will provide the full range of drives from ABB, the widest on the market.
Drives up to 250 kW are available off the shelf.
Its engineers select and install the correct drive for any application, repair and maintain drives, offer service contracts including breakdown and planned maintenance, and undertake energy, EMC and harmonic appraisals.
"We offer our customers local expertise, provide 24 hour technical support, 365 days of the year, and give access to the very latest specialist technology in the field," explains Alan Jones at Central Electrical South West.
"Central Electrical South West has a high level of technical expertise and offer a simple means of solving complex problems whether it be upgrade, modification or a complete turnkey solution," comments James Haigh, Senior Vice President, Drive Products, for ABB in the UK.
