ABB has appointed Ian Allan as Industry Manager for Energy, with the aim of stimulating energy efficiency among customers using ABB motors and drives in industrial applications and building services.

Allan comes to ABB from motor manufacturer Brook Crompton, where he has held a variety of posts over 15 years, including working for seven years in business development and marketing for energy efficient products.

In addition to his energy-saving role, Allan will also spend some of his time as Principal Sales Engineer for the North East.
