ABB will introduce its new range of standard high-voltage motors at Hillhead 2005, the event for the minerals and heavy construction industries.

The new motors can be delivered within days and have a significantly lower price than engineered motors.

Designed for pump, fan and compressor applications, the high voltage standard motor features high efficiency, excellent starting characteristics, low noise levels, low vibration, IP56 protection as standard (IP65 also available), long maintenance intervals and a long lifetime of reliable operation.

ABB will also be highlighting its engineered motors, from 100kW to 70MW, as well as its process performance motors: this range has now been extended upwards with a new cast iron motor in IEC frame size 450, rated up to 1000kW and 690V.

The company will also be showcasing its range of low voltage and medium voltage variable speed drives up to 80MW on Stand P104 at Hillhead 2005, which will be held in Buxton from 21st to 23rd June 2005.
