ABB has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) brochure for its contactors type A95-A300 and type AF95-750, rated from 45-400kW at 400V.
ABB has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) brochure for its contactors type A95-A300 and type AF95-750, rated from 45-400kW at 400V.
The brochure details environmental data relating to the complete lifecycle of ABB's EPD-approved contactors.
From the 'cradle to the grave', the brochure provides information about the environmental performance, materials and energy consumption of each product, allowing customers to make an objective comparison to similar competitor products.
EPD also contains information relating to the environmental performance of individual manufacturers, covering waste, emissions, recycling and disposal issues.
ABB Product Manager Steve Whittingham, said: "As environmentally sound procurement becomes increasingly more important, ABB's EPD brochure is making it easier for customers to choose products that have been manufactured and operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way".
