ABB's sophisticated new-generation PR113 microprocessor-based overcurrent release provides a complete set of protection, signalling, data storage and control functions.
ABB's sophisticated new-generation PR113 microprocessor-based overcurrent release provides a complete set of protection, signalling, data storage and control functions for the Emax range of air circuit breakers (ACBs) from 800 to 6000A It offers a unique capability for directional short-circuit protection with adjustable delay and is ideally suited for use with meshed or radial networks such as those found in data centres and embedded power generation schemes

A new surge arrester offers protection against the massive, transient overvoltages believed to be responsible for over 30 per cent of all damage to electronic equipment.
Keep tabs on blown fuses in motor controls
The new OFM electronic fuse monitor has been developed by ABB Control to provide increased safety and faster repairs for three-phase motor control centres
An integral LCD display provides the PR113 with a user-friendly operating interface which is able to display diagrams, histograms and wave forms.
It can be supplied in both protection only and protection plus dialogue versions.
In addition to directional short-circuit protection, the PR113 and Emax combination also offers the L, S, I and G protection functions as well as protection against: phase unbalance; over temperature; undervoltage and overvoltage; residual voltage/neutral displacement; reverse power; thermal memory for L and S functions.
It is also possible to select neutral protection at 150 and 200 per cent of the rated current of the phases, if compatible with the setting of the current transformers.
PR113 measurement functions include: currents (phases, neutral, earth-fault); voltage (phase-phase, phase-neutral, residual); power (active, reactive, apparent); power factor; frequency and peak factor; energy (active, reactive, apparent, counter); and harmonics calculation.
