ABB has entered into a partnership with RS to make the ABB EPack contractor products readily available anywhere in the UK.
ABB has entered into a partnership with RS to make the ABB EPack contractor products readily available anywhere in the UK.
Now available through RS' nationwide network of 18 trade counters, all ABB EPack products are available either from stock or within 24 hours.
The partnership is part of ABB's push into the contracting and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) markets, where customers often demand products at short notice.
"This partnership brings together two major brands renowned for their global presence and quality product ranges", says Dave Evans, Industrial Sales Manager for ABB's Low Voltage Products Business.
"ABB's EPack range has long been renowned for its fast delivery, whilst RS Components is the UK's biggest distributor of electronic, electrical and mechanical components, health and safety products, and associated tools".
"Together, we will ensure that our customers are always able to count on ABB's products being readily available wherever they are and whenever they want them".
The partnership covers ABB's full range of EPack contractor products, encompassing distribution, line protection, switching and control equipment.
Also available through RS are DIN rail connectors, interfacing electronics, time delay relays, analogue convertors, surge protection products and switch mode power supplies as well as industrial drives, motors and instrumentation.
Each of the 18 RS trade counters located nationwide will be home to one of ABB's new EPack display stands, which feature a selection of EPack products.
Every product is accompanied by its own card, which can be presented to trade counter staff who will then supply the goods from stock.
To expand the choice of products available, each card carries multiple product identifications.
Because each product is bolted to the stand, the display will never become depleted, ensuring that the EPack range is always fully represented.
To help mark the launch of this exciting joint venture, ABB and RS will award a limited edition aluminium torch to the first 500 purchasers of any ABB products from any of the EPack stands located in RS branches nationwide.
