AB Connectors has launched a new range of cable gland accessories.

AB Connectors, manufacturers of harsh-environment electrical interconnecting systems for over 50 years, has launched a new range of cable gland accessories.

The cable glands are available in both metal and nylon, with the metal types having nickel plated copper alloy bodies with EPDM rubber seals and claws made of nylon 6.6.

The nylon versions have bodies manufactured from UL approved polymide 6.6 making them resistant to the effects of heat and fire.

They are available in either black or grey.

Environmental protection features include IP68 sealing and a working temperature range of -40c to +100c.

As standard, the glands are resistant to salt water, weak acid, alcohol, oil, grease and common solvents.

Easy installation is a key feature as the cable can be easily inserted through the gland, without dismantling the parts.

Cleverly designed claws and seals provide a secure grip and accomodate a wide cable range.

The glands are available in both PG and metric threaded options.

The ABPGBP Cable Support has a nylon spiral strain relief that is designed to limit the damage by harmful bending and so prolong cable life.

Commenting on the new range, Robert Hanvey, Sales Manager of AB Connectors said, " This is one of several new products that we will introduce during 2001.

We intend broadening our product portfolio and enter new markets following our recent success with the ABXS push-pull connector.

AB Connectors is the largest British owned connector manufacturer in the UK and has an established reputation for the supply of high quality products, where performance and reliability are essential.

The company employs 180 people, has a multi-million pound turnover and is part of the international TT Group plc.
