ABS Pumps has moved its UK Headquarters following a major worldwide reorganisation into Business Divisions in Water and Wastewater, General Industry, Pulp and Paper, Building Services and Service
ABS Pumps has moved its UK Headquarters to Crawley, West Sussex, following a major worldwide reorganisation.
The creation of new Business Divisions to service the growing specialist demands of the company's customers has prompted the move to modern office accommodation on the outskirts of Crawley, and the creation of two new service centres in Dartford and Telford.
A new warehouse facility in Hartlepool will support the new Business Divisions and provide secondary support to the rapidly expanding service centre network.
Earlier this year, ABS Pumps announced a radical reorganisation of its business into highly customer focused Business Divisions in Water and Wastewater, General Industry, Pulp and Paper, Building Services and Service (SSR).
"Prior to the announcement of the reorganisation we had the opportunity to relocate the UK headquarters", commented Marcus Williams, UK Managing Director.
"We concluded that it was no longer necessary to keep the warehouse facility, workshop and Southern area service centre under the same roof and that our customers would benefit from a more regional approach in terms of delivery and after sales service." "The move to modern office accommodation in Tilgate Forest near Crawley has meant that we can operate the new Business Divisions more effectively by grouping each team together, which would have been very difficult prior to the move.
We have also tried to create a modern and comfortable working environment for our staff and invested heavily in IT systems, networks, training and conference facilities." "We have opened two new service centres in Dartford and Telford; each offering local service and off the shelf pumps and spare parts.
The main warehouse is now based in Hartlepool, which has improved our distribution capabilities in northern England and Scotland.
Customers can now receive direct shipments from the European Distribution Hub and the Manufacturing Units in Sweden, Germany and Ireland following another worldwide initiative".
