The ABS concept is as simple as it is revolutionary: place the pump and motor on one single, heavy concrete base plate but do not fix it to the floor.
The new System PMI features: Time-consuming planning and grouting-in of base plates is no longer required.
Just provide enough space for the freestanding unit, and considerable time and cost in project planning and mill construction can be saved.
Pipe strain on machinery equipment and coupling misalignment normally result in costly maintenance and downtime.
The new ABS solution, where the pump and motor are mounted onto a rigid base plate forming one single unit that is not attached to the floor, minimises the effects of stresses on alignment - a critical factor in any pump installation.
A freestanding installation also minimises the effects of vibrations and shell sounds.
Improved operating conditions result in a longer lifetime for the pump, seal and coupling thereby lowering Life Cycle Cost.
Future Flexibility System PMI not only offers flexibility during initial installation but also meets future requirements.
Moving and relocating pumps during a plant rebuild is now easier than ever before.
Upgrading the pump and/or motor for increased output can also be achieved without the need for any additional civil works.
