With the addition of two new pumps, the AFP 8001 and the AFP 8002, the AFP 8000 range from pumps manufacturer ABS now includes what are probably the largest submersible sewage pumps currently available on the market.
The AFP 8000 range compliments ABS's existing AFP series of sewage and wastewater handling pumps.
It is the optimum pump range for medium and high head applications in areas such as the sewage industry, irrigation, heavy industrial plants such as steel and paper mills and for drinking water supply.
The latest additions to the range, AFP 8001 and AFP 8002, have been developed with an emphasis on high performance combined with maximum efficiency.
The optimum efficency of the new AFP 8002 is 86.1% at 2,500 l/sec to 34m.
A low head version, the AFP 8001, with its maximum efficiency of 87.9% achieved at 2,050 l/sec and 17m head, stands out clearly from the competition.
In both pumps, the hydraulics are equipped with motors from ABS's new M10 to M12 series providing maximum power of 1,000 KW for 50 and 60Hz.
The new pumps, featuring the well known ABS cooling system, are suitable for both vertical and horizontal dry well installation.
With the addition of a "duckfoot" bend pedestal, wet well installation is also possible.
AFP 8001 and AFP 8002 add versatility to a range of pumps that already meets the requirements of a wide variety of applications.
Whether in a new installation or in the refurbishment of a main sewage handling system or treatment plant inlet, these pumps are a highly efficient option.
This efficiency translates into low energy consumption, further reinforcing ABS's ongoing commitment to providing the market with "cost-effective pumping" solutions.
