This is a further step in an aggressive programme, implemented by ABS over the last five years, that has seen a network of sales and service centres established throughout the UK.
These centres, located in Coleshill, Bridgwater, Bingham, Thetford, Telford, Dartford, Hartlepool and Manchester have, over the last 12 months, already been increasingly equipped with a wide range of products and spares to meet local customer requirements.
Each centre will now be able to offer the complete range of products and services including pump supply, installation, pumping station refurbishment, spare parts as well as a comprehensive range of after sales support services available from the ABS Service programme.
This strategy has been developed to ensure that ABS customers in the Water and Waste Water, Building Services, Paper and Pulp and Industrial markets receive the most cost-effective solutions over the complete life cycle of equipment supplied to them.
Marc Redit, ABS Operations Manager, explains the importance of the strategy, "To provide the best levels of service in this new environment it is absolutely necessary that our resources, expertise and project management capability are close to the customer." This move, in line with ABS' global strategy to further strengthen the company's position in the aftermarket, reflects an ongoing commitment to customer service.
Thomas Widstrand, the President of ABS says, "By re-organising our efforts, we will increase our customer focus further and continue to build on our application experience and process knowledge for the benefit of our customer partners all over the world.
We are convinced that our customers will see the positive effects of the new organisation." The Crawley office will continue to provide sales and administration support to the UK service centres.
