An order was made last week in the High Court placing AB Marwin into administration and appointing David Tann of the Norton Practice as administrator The company has experienced a significant downturn in its order book since the events of 11th September last year as it is largely dependant on the aerospace industry - which has itself been very badly affected
The administrator stressed that he was hopeful of being able to save the company as an ongoing concern and would be actively seeking a buyer for the business.
It has, however, been necessary to make a certain number of redundancies immediately.
31 personnel in Wolverhampton and 10 in Halifax have been made redundant.
The company will be making no further comment at this stage.
