The RWY 65 Series fully encapsulated DC/DC converter from Absopulse Electronics generates 500W output power from a 153 x 72 x 269mm enclosure.

The converter is designed to meet the stringent requirements of EN50155 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock and is also suitable for operation in other extreme environments.

The RWY 65 meets EN55022 Class B and EN50121-3-2 conducted and radiated standards and is designed to meet IEC 61373 Cat 1 A and B and Cat 2 shock and vibration standards as a minimum.

It is entirely potted with a thermally conductive MIL-spec silicon rubber compound with UL94V-0 flammability rating.

Conduction cooled, it is rated for operation over a -40 to +70C cold-plate temperature range without derating.

This 500W unit delivers standard outputs of 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V or 110V DC and can be operated from 48V, 72V, 96V or 110V DC supply voltages, with wide input ranges.

Other input and output voltages are available on request.

The unit features 3kV DC input to output isolation, full electronic protection and up to 90 per cent efficiency, depending on input/output configuration.
