Miniature screw boasts heavyweight performance

An Abssac product story

Abssac reckons it can now supply the smallest satellite roller screw in the world.

Abssac continues to increase its dominance in the miniaturisation of linear products by not only supplying the world's smallest ball screw, but now being able to supply the smallest satellite roller screw in the world.

Providing a repeatability of +/-1um, the type RV satellite roller screw features a screw diameter of 3.5mm with a 1mm lead, can handle high rotation speeds and remains at the forefront of linear technology due to in-house technical innovation.

By using precision rollers instead of ball bearings in the nut housing results in a high number of contact points, which allows the satellite roller screw to support heavier axial loads and have much greater longevity.

Amazingly the new miniature assembly has the capacity to move more than 20,000 times its own weight.
