Lead screws machined from aerospace grade HE30 aluminium are now available to cope with the demand for lightweight linear mechanisms.

Lead screws machined from aerospace grade HE30 aluminium are now being supplied by Abssac to cope with the demand for lightweight linear mechanisms.

Using a multistart trapezoidal leadscrew thread forms to increase the reliability of the load capacity, the machined screws can be supplied with plastic or bronze nuts as standard.

Offering significant weight advantages against traditional steel or stainless steel screws, the aluminium screws can be supplied in lengths up to 2m.

A range of leads per diameter of screw are available on request on the corrosion resistant material.

All HE30 parts are machined to precision accuracy (0.07/300mm pitch error).
