Splined shafts available in larger sizes

An Abssac product story

Standard splined shafts are available from 11 to 46mm diameter with either six or eight splines.

Abssac has recently supplied one of its largest splined shafts to date, measuring a massive 150mm in diameter, with eight splines along its 2m length and weighing in at 250kg.

The shaft was manufactured from EN24T steel.

The customer, a paper mill, did not have any technical drawings from which Abssac could quote - the only information available was to be gathered from a broken and distorted sample sent after a catastrophic failure.

Abssac was successful in being able to replicate the part and deliver the new part ready to fit into the repaired machine.

Standard splined shafts are available from 11 to 46mm diameter with either six or eight splines.

A full range of flanged steel or bronze sleeves are available to complement the splines.

Standard lengths of 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 3000mm are available from stock.
