ABB Climate Systems has been awarded a turnkey contract to design and build an advanced clean room facility on behalf of Fibercore, one of the world's leading exponents of speciality fibre technology.
The GBP 1.04 million new build project, awarded by main contractor Brazier Construction through competitive tender, encompasses the construction of a class 10,000 suite of cleanrooms and associated offices including floors and ceilings; installation of HVAC and process systems; and provision of electrical services.
The clean room, to be situated at Fibercore's new UK headquarters at Chilworth Science Park, is expected to be completed in October 2002 and will house the company's speciality fibre fabrication facility.
