Actify and Engineering.com have announced a strategic alliance to deliver Actify's 3D model and drawing visualization and distribution software to the global engineering community.

Actify and Engineering.com have announced a strategic alliance to deliver Actify's cutting-edge solutions to the global engineering community.

Actify is a Gold Partner with Engineering.com, being developed to become the ultimate resource tool for the worldwide engineering community and a leading business-to-business Internet marketplace for engineering products and services.

In addition, Rand Worldwide, which uses Engineering.com as a critical sales and marketing tool, will be able to bring Actify's products to its diverse international base of more than 40,000 manufacturing customers.

Rand Worldwide is a global knowledge-based solutions provider to organizations with engineering and information technology requirements.

Software solutions from Actify enable manufacturers using CAD software including Pro/Engineer, Catia, Unigraphics, SDRC I-Deas, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, and Autocad to visualize and distribute 3D models and drawings for a variety of manufacturing applications.

These solutions provide enterprise-wide access to design data for review, planning, and project management, yielding significant cost reductions and speeding time-to-market.

"We are excited to be working with both Engineering.com and the Rand Worldwide organization," said Bill Matthews, Vice President of Sales at Actify.

"Engineering.com brings together a community that works with multiple CAD systems and can really benefit from Actify's visualization solutions.

The Rand Worldwide sales team has the proven ability to help their customers maximize the value of their designs, and Actify's solutions give them one more way to deliver value to their customers.

"In our long experience working with manufacturing customers, there is a clear and consistent need for CAD visualization solutions suitable for both designers and non-designers," observed Brian Mori, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Engineering.com.

"This partnership with Actify enables Engineering.com to deliver visualization and communication solutions that meet our customer's requirements for viewing, measuring, marking up, and sharing designs throughout the enterprise.
