Actify's Spinfire visualisation software incorporated into latest version of CIM Database from Contact Software.
Actify's Spinfire visualisation software has been incorporated into the latest version of CIM Database from Contact Software as part of an agreement with Actify distributor Kisters, who will also provide consultancy services and support.
Spinfire is incorporated into version 2.9.5 of Contact's data management product.
It addresses the collaboration needs of workgroups and design teams within manufacturing corporations so users can securely share and access product information held in multiple native CAD formats.
Kisters board member Hanns Kisters said: "By extending access to design data to employees who may not have CAD software on their desktops, Actify simultaneously helps foster collaboration and streamline the product development process".
Formats supported by Spinfire include Catia V4/V5, Proengineer, Unigraphics, Solidworks, Solidedge and Inventor and data formats including JT, VRML, VDafs and Step.
