Actify has released a white paper that focuses on the value and benefits of its digital design communication (DDC) technology.
At most manufacturing companies, the ability to access, work with, share, manage workflow and repurpose 2D and 3D CAD designs and data without the need for the native CAD system can mean the difference between the success and failure of a product.
In this white paper, entitled: "Dissolving the walls - digital design communication overcomes barriers to product data collaboration across the extended enterprise", Actify discusses DDC as the foundation for communicating data across multiple business functions and as the foundation for PLM.
In addition, the white paper explores the trend towards decentralisation of operations, the increase in collaboration, how this impacts the development of a product and how Actify's DDC technology goes beyond view and markup to assist CAD and non-CAD workers to share 2D and 3D CAD designs and associated data.
