Accelerated Technologies has acquired a new and larger facility in Austin, Texas.

Accelerated Technologies has acquired a new and larger facility in Austin, Texas.

With this 2000m2 site, formerly occupied by 3D Systems, the company more than triples its space in the Austin area.

Accelerated Technologies has also purchased new equipment for the facility, furthering its ability to offer its customers the latest RP technologies.

This includes the new Viper si2 stereolithography system, with increased capability to produce small, intricate parts and the Vanguard si2 selective laser sintering system, which can build LaserForm prototypes at up to four times the rate of previous comparable systems.

In addition to stereolithography and selective laser sintering, Accelerated Technologies uses PolyJet and RTV moulding technologies to produce thousands of prototypes each year.

"We're pleased to be experiencing significant growth", says Mike Durham, General Manager of Accelerated Technologies' Rapid Prototyping Division.

Accelerated Technologies also offers tooling, electronic manufacturing services, wire harness and printed circuit board production, and injection moulding services.

The Austin location will continue to focus on rapid prototyping.

Accelerated Technologies, which is part of the Ellison Group, also has locations in Erlanger, Kentucky; Williamsburg, Kentucky; and Jackson, Mississippi.
