"We're pleased to be recognised for our commitment to quality", says Quality Manager Ron Stewart.
"We're one of only two rapid prototyping service bureaus in the USA that have achieved ISO certification".
The certification is also significant in light of recent developments in the RP industry at large, according to Ellison Group Chief Marketing Officer Randy Sadler.
Many RP shops are shutting down or cutting services, operating only through the web without any human interaction, Sadler says.
"We take a different approach, offering a full staff of trained experts that can help customers solve product development challenges", he says.
"We offer more than just prototypes".
In support of this approach, Accelerated Technologies has consolidated its rapid prototyping division, formerly located in Erlanger, Kentucky, with the tooling and research and development divisions at the company's Austin headquarters.
"It's a strategic move", says Sadler.
"After providing prototypes, we often follow up with tooling and casting to help customers move their products into the market".
