Side load adaptor extends life of shock absorber
Operating at high side load impact angles can reduce the life of industrial shock absorbers. To solve this problem Ace Controls International has introduced an optional BV side load adaptor.
However, in order to run the filling machine as fast as possible without incurring product spillage, Sick sought advice from Ace design engineers.
The solution was the fitting of an SC 190 miniature shock absorber onto each metering unit.
These maintenance-free, ready-to-install hydraulic devices support the metering station and control the movement of the granulate-filled cartridges.
They always accept the mass softly and evenly throughout the stroke.
The metering unit stops exactly at the precisely defined position for each individual cup and the filling process occurs fast and precisely.
Ace SC miniature shock absorbers have an integral mechanical stop and have proven themselves ideal in applications for handling devices, linear cylinders, rodless cylinders and pneumatically driven slides.
