A new miniature shock absorber is ideal for mounting in pneumatic cylinders and rotary actuators.

Automation control equipment manufacturer Ace Controls International has introduced a new miniature shock absorber that is ideal for mounting in pneumatic cylinders and rotary actuators.

The new MC 30M-Z fully threaded, shock absorber features Ace's unique stretch seal design which prevents air from being ingested and oil from escaping in these high pressure applications and because it is a self-compensating unit it can handle changing energy conditions without the need for adjustment.

With an overall length of only 75mm, the three models available offer an effective weight range from 0.45 to 15kg, operating temperatures between 0 and 66C and all have an integral mechanical stop built-in.

Application areas include small linear slides, material handling and packaging equipment, small robotics, office and medical equipment, instrumentation and so much more.
