Automation control equipment manufacturer Ace Controls International has announced a new addition to its range of safety shock absorbers.

The SDD Series is its first double ended safety shock absorber, eliminating the need for a second safety device in many applications.

Especially suitable for crane crabs and overhead cranes, SDD shock absorbers are totally self contained and maintenance free.

Three standard sizes are available - SDD 50, 63 and 80 - offering stroke lengths from 200mm to 1000mm and energy absorption capacities from 14.5kNm to 135kNm.

The outer body is galvanised zinc plated for improved surface protection and all units have an operating temperature range between -25 and 65C.
