Safety shock absorbers feature compact design, making them suited to numerous emergency use applications.

Ace Controls International has extended its range of safety shock absorbers with the addition of two new smaller but still high performing units.

Based on innovative technology of combining the piston and inner tube, as used on the company's SC2 heavyweight shock absorbers, an energy capacity of up to 525Nm can be achieved for emergency use.

The two new units - SCS-300 and 650 - have stroke lengths of 15 and 23mm and body lengths of only 105.5 and 140mm.

The outer body is steel nitride hardened and the piston rod is hardened stainless steel.

All units have an operating temperature range between 0 and 66C.

This new, compact design will have numerous emergency use applications.

Of particular interest, is the growing number of smaller and faster linear drives.
