Dactron's latest portable multichannel dynamic signal generator, with USB 2.0 interface for ultra-fast acquisition, is now available from AcSoft.

With a real-time rate of 42kHz, 120dB dynamic range and 24bit precision, the Focus portable real-time analyser offers unbeatable speed and accuracy for online noise and vibration analysis, while simultaneously streaming data to disk, in in-vehicle and other field applications.

The minimum configuration is four analogue channels, with modular expansion to 20 channels, two output channels and tachometers, providing simple, convenient scaleability.

Because DSP scales with channel count, peak performance is maintained, while accuracy is assured by per channel analogue and digital anti-alias filters.

Focus' new-generation USB 2.0 interface streams data to disk at over 1.6Msample/s, for example at 96Ksample/s on each of 16 channels.

All channels have ICP sensor power and a TEDS (transducer electronic datasheet) smart sensor interface.

Focus comes with a comprehensive suite of signal analysis software, which can be extended to provide modal data acquisition, acoustics analysis, rotating machinery analysis, transient capture and SRS analysis, automatic pass/fail testing, and waveform recording.

Focus is software compatible with Dactron's photon analyser.

For ease of use in the field, Focus weighs only 4.5kg, has a similar footprint to a notebook PC, and can be battery powered if required.

It connects to any USB equipped PC, with Windows XP/2000/Me/98 compatibility enabling the user to get results quickly.

Report generation and data export to other analysis packages are fast and effortless.
