AC drives now covered by 24-hour maintenance

AC Technology has entered a pan-European service contract with TP Serviceco, offering EU customers a comprehensive 24h repair and emergency replacement service for its complete range of AC drives.

AC Technology has entered a pan-European service contract with TP Serviceco, offering EU customers a comprehensive 24h repair and emergency replacement service for the company's complete range of AC drives.

Services from the total refurbishment of drives to custom environmental protection are available, all of which can be carried out on or off-site by teams of specially trained engineers.

When it comes to choosing a drive, one of the first considerations is the ability of the manufacturer to fulfil warranties quickly and effectively.

To successfully avoid unnecessary delays and costly downtime for UK buyers, US drives manufacturer AC Technology has appointed TP Serviceco, to supply all replacement units and carryout on-site system maintenance.

Serviceco are on call 24h, 365 days a year for off-site repairs and their engineers can quickly reach anywhere in Europe.

Peter Cribbin, European Sales Manager for AC Tech explained that the decision to select TP Serviceco came after 12 months of research and appraisals, "From our investigations of the market place we found that the TP Group was the most professional and customer-oriented service company and are widely regarded as the market leader in this area.

As part of the research process, we asked potential service providers to repair a number of drives and I am pleased to say that TP Serviceco serviced the test samples to the highest quality with a remarkably fast turnaround time".

Due to the combination of cutting edge test equipment and specialist engineers, Serviceco has the ability to carryout high tech diagnostics and advanced work as standard.

However, to ensure in-depth product knowledge, a group of TP Serviceco engineers were sent to AC Technology Headquarters in Uxbridge, Massachusetts where the drives are designed and manufactured.

The trip included specific training in the repair and maintenance of all AC Tech's drive systems and the use of AC Tech's 'Techlink' programming software.

Additional benefits for customers stemming from AC Tech's partnership with TP Serviceco include online tracking and access to repair status from anywhere in the world.

The agreement also allows manufacturers to specify AC Technology drives in their machines and still be covered by the service warranty, wherever the final product is used.

All repair work is covered by an additional six-month warranty.
