Advanced Carbide Tooling (ACT) has marked the 20th anniversary of its formation with the appointment of a new board of directors and a re-organisation to increase efficiency and customer service.

ACT has been the UK distributor for Mircona face-grooving and parting-off tools since its formation in 1984 and also distributes a number of other specialist tooling systems in the UK.
More recently it developed its own range of parting-off and grooving tools with cutting widths from 0.5mm to 2.2mm, which is being sold in the UK and through distributors on the Continent.
Sister company Advanced Microlubrication manufactures and installs vegetable-based precision lubrication systems as an alternative to flood coolant.
