In response to customer demand for increasingly faster 1:1 print and apply labelling, Advanced Labelling Systems (ALS) has launched the ALX 924, its new high performance, highly reliable print and apply labelling solution.

The new system has a print speed of up to 300mm/second, which is nearly double the industry standard speed for other 1:1 systems, without sacrificing print quality or application accuracy.

In essence, 1:1 labelling means that immediately the label is printed by the ALX 924, it is applied.

This means that there is no buffered loop printed before hand, eliminating the possibility that incorrect labels can be applied to a product.

This is particularly relevant in areas such as mailing, product dependant formatting and high-security applications.

In the pharmaceutical industry, for example, at the end of a print run there should never be any printed labels left that could be used accidentally on the next job.

The new ALX 924 high speed 1:1 print and apply system is also particularly suited to applications where product throughput is high, but batch volumes are small, as the 1:1 capability means that down-time for product change over is minimised.

The new ALX 924 features a high-speed 64-bit processor, for the fastest image building in its class, with 16MB of memory providing ample capacity.

The new machine uses the same high-definition print heads used in the ALS off-line printer range and features a quick-release mechanism that makes cleaning and access quick and easy without the need for any tools.

The new ALX 924 features label web back-feed for printing onto the whole label area, a large label supply reel and a substantial 1000m ribbon capacity, helping to reduce downtime for ribbon changes.

Furthermore, the ALX 924 incorporates a highly effective ribbon-saving mechanism, helping to reduce costs by extending ribbon life.

Available in two widths (106mm and 127mm), in both left and right-hand versions, the ALX 924 is designed for easy integration into existing production lines and is suitable for the most demanding of industrial applications.
