Engineering solving and optimisation for Mathcad
New Extension Pack adds comprehensive problem-solving functionality for financial and engineering applications
Adept Scientific announces a new addition to the extensive range of add-ons to Mathcad Professional, the world's leading technical calculation software.
The Mathcad Solving & Optimisation Extension Pack builds on Mathcad's core functionality to deliver the most powerful problem-solving technology available to the finance, operations research, engineering and manufacturing industries.
The Mathcad Solving & Optimisation Extension Pack increases Mathcad's capacity for optimization routines, quadratic programming and higher capacity problem solving, enhancing the core calculation power of Mathcad to provide technical professionals with the most advanced solver technology available in an application.
Difficult models that involve both very large and very small values, such as financial models, are easily handled by the new Extension Pack, which automatically re-scales both linear and nonlinear problems.
The quadratic solver option enables users to solve complex engineering, financial and business management problems, including portfolio optimization problems, quickly and effectively.
"With Mathcad firmly established as the technical intelligence tool of choice for a broad base of industries, we are dedicated to expanding the product's core functionality to meet the unique needs of each vertical market," said Chris Randles, MathSoft's vice president of sales and marketing.
Added Adept Scientific managing director Paul Bragg, "The new Mathcad Solving & Optimisation Extension Pack provides our customers with the most advanced functionality available for solving even the most complex of problems, within a familiar format that is easily integrated into Mathcad's core engineering platform.".
