Adept Scientific announces the release of Maple 7, a major new upgrade to Maple, the widely adopted mathematical computation product line from Waterloo Maple, a world leader in mathematical software for education, research and industry.
Widely used by universities, colleges, research institutions and companies, Maple 7 delivers the comprehensive environment and support resources to visualize and explore mathematical concepts, develop application tools, and share mathematical information and documents through the Web.
Combined with hundreds of free add-on packages and applications available through the Maple Application Center (http://mapleapps.adeptscience.co.uk), Maple 7 constitutes the most powerful and flexible analytical tool for educators, researchers, scientists, engineers and students.
New features in Maple 7 include a wide range of new mathematical algorithms in key areas such as differential equations and numerical computation, and enhanced Web connectivity, including comprehensive MathML 2.0 support, XML support and TCP/IP sockets-based access to online information.
Maple 7's core features are also supported by a rapidly growing suite of free add-on packages and applications available online through the Maple Application Center (http://mapleapps.adeptscience.co.uk).

Maple 7 is the first major product in the mathematics arena that offers full support for the W3C's new MathML 2.0 standard that manages both the display and the meaning of mathematics on the Web.
This exclusive feature will enable the true vision of MathML as the primary vehicle for Web mathematics as well as setting the stage for true interoperability within a multi-vendor environment.
TCP/IP sockets connectivity enables dynamic access to information on other Web sites, including stock data for real-time financial analysis and weather data for climate studies.
