A major upgrade to ISI Researchsoft's Reference Manager software gives better integration with Microsoft Word, new ways to store links to online research, and direct access to ISI Web of Science
Adept Scientific has announced a major upgrade to ISI Researchsoft's Reference Manager software that streamlines the process of publishing research by providing a new level of integration with Microsoft Word, new ways to store links to online and Web-based research, and direct access to ISI Web of Science.
These enhancements shorten the path from primary research to published papers.
Reference Manager's powerful features and intuitive interface make it ideal for corporate, government and academic researchers, librarians, writers and students who need to find, import, manage and perfectly format reference data.
Reference Manager is used to create articles for professional journals, grants, dissertations, theses, CVs, research papers, regulatory filings as well as other types of publications.
Cite While You Write with Instant Formatting in Microsoft Word Reference Manager's new instant formatting delivers a finished bibliography as users cite references in the document, further streamlining the writing process.
With Cite While You Write, users focus on writing the paper, letting Reference Manager locate and insert citations as well as produce bibliographies.
Other Cite While You Write enhancements include automatically created hot links in a formatted bibliography, easy addition of notes, and one-step removal of codes when submitting a manuscript for publication.
New Travelling Library for Easy Collaboration Sharing documents for collaborative writing has never been easier than with Reference Manager's new travelling library.
Documents contain complete reference data for all citations.
Wherever the document goes, the references travel with itready for colleagues to add, delete and reformat citations in the same document.
New Fields for Storing Links to Web Pages and Files Reference Manager 10 now has four dedicated fields in each reference for storing links to related information.
Users can store a virtual collection of links to full-text documents, PDF files, chemical structures and reactions, related links and image files.
The linked information can be stored on the Internet or on any accessible hard drive or network server for quick retrieval and review.
Reference Manager 10 has greatly expanded links to the ISI Web of Knowledgesm platform.
For the first time, users can download links to full text from ISI Web of Science.
New filters allow easy importing of alerts from ISI Current Contents Connect and ISI Discovery Agent.
For those users who are not subscribers to ISI Web of Science, ISI eSource allows pay-per-view access to key scholarly literature with three-way citation linking.
Reference Manager 10 adds over 150 new content files, including output styles, import filters and connection files, making it easier to connect to and import data from a wide variety of online sources.
To ease this accumulation of references, many online databases have included a direct export of references into Reference Manager, including OCLC, HighWire Press, ProQuest, Ovid and others.
