The compact Minilab 1008 unit from Measurement Computing enables external signals to be connected to a PC with all the flexibility of a removable USB device Best of all, it costs only GBP 120

The USB ports provided as standard on all new PCs have made connecting external devices a simple task, and now almost any external signal can be connected this way without breaking the bank, thanks to an innovative device from Measurement Computing.

The GBP 120 Minilab 1008 is a compact interface for data acquisition which accepts eight single-ended or four differential 12bit analogue inputs and sends the signals to a PC via the USB port.

In addition, the unit crams in a pair of 10bit analogue outputs, a 32bit external event counter, four digital I/O lines amongst the front-panel screw terminals, and a further 24 digital I/O lines through an industry-standard connector.

The Minilab 1008 is ideal for an enormous range of data acquisition tasks, and despite the tiny unit's appearance, it can handle rugged industrial use.

Add to this the advantages of USB connection, such as no need to open up the PC to install the hardware and not requiring a separate power supply, and the potential of the Minilab 1008 is clear.

Support is available for Visual Basic, C, and Measurement Computing's acclaimed Softwire data acquisition and control software.

Measurement Computing hardware and software is supplied and supported in the UK by Adept Scientific. Request a free brochure from Adept Scientific ...
