An Adept Scientific product story

Maplesoft has appointed Adept Scientific as the exclusive distributor of its advanced mathematical and analytical software products in Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Maplesoft (Waterloo, Ontario) has appointed Adept Scientific as the exclusive distributor of its advanced mathematical and analytical software products in Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Adept Scientific is already Maplesoft's partner in the UK, Ireland and Denmark, and the two companies are building on their long-standing, successful relationship to further the uptake of Maple, Maple TA and MapleNet software in industrial, educational and research organisations in the Nordic countries.

"Adept has represented Maplesoft for many, many years", explained Fred Kern, Maplesoft's Vice President for International Sales, "and is one of our largest and most successful representatives worldwide".

"We have had a highly productive and very enjoyable relationship with Maplesoft for more than a decade", added Adept Scientific's Chairman and Managing Director, Dr Paul Bragg.

"They have developed some of the most capable, innovative and usable software in the world, and we have been proud to supply and support it".

"We have a discerning customer base that demands excellence in the software they use and the service and support they receive".

"In our partnership with Maplesoft we are able to supply both, and we're looking forward to serving Maple users in the Nordic region too".

The Maplesoft core product suite includes: Maple, the most powerful and intuitive tool for solving complex mathematical problems and creating rich, executable technical documents; MapleNet, a web-based platform for sharing Maple content for collaboration and e-learning; and Maple TA, a web-based system for creating tests, assignments and exercises, automatically assessing student responses and performance.

Maplesoft's standards-compliant algorithms are renowned for their speed, accuracy and reliability.

Adept Scientific sees this new distributorship agreement as an opportunity to extend its sales and support operation across the Nordic region.

"From our Nordic region headquarters in Hillerod, Denmark", says Henrik Petersen, Manager of Adept Scientific A/S, "we are able to provide a broad range of PC solutions for mathematics, science, engineering and research to customers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Danish territories of Faeroe Islands and Greenland".

"As well as Maple, we can offer products such as VisSim, the control systems simulation software that is, in its latest version, compatible with Maple; Northwest Analytical's statistical process control package Quality Analyst; Weisang 's FlexPro, an advanced data analysis and presentation package; the MathType equation editor; Easy-PC electronic circuit design and layout software; and the CambridgeSoft range of chemistry and biological software tools.

"Customers in all the Nordic countries can now benefit from a locally based, specialist supplier of technical computing products with an international reputation for the highest quality products, customer service and technical support".

Petersen's team in Hillerod is backed up by a systems, marketing and support infrastructure, based in the company's head office in Letchworth, UK, that is, he says: "second to none in the technical computing market".
