A new electronic book presents Maple as an advanced model development and optimisation environment.
A new electronic book, available from Adept Scientific, presents Maple - the world's most advanced applied mathematical software for engineering and scientific applications - as an advanced model development and optimisation environment.
Special emphasis is placed on solving multi-extremal models using the Global Optimisation Toolbox for Maple.
Designed for users of Maple in industry, commerce, research and education, the e-book demonstrates how Maple can provide an integrated platform for developing operations research/management science (ORMS) studies and applications.
Following a brief introduction to ORMS, it presents an extensive collection of detailed numerical examples and illustrative case studies from the sciences and engineering.
Users of the Maple Global Optimisation Toolbox (an optional addon to Maple) can gain hands-on experience of working with the numerical examples.
The "Global optimisation with Maple" electronic book - a collection of fully functional, hyperlinked worksheets - is published as part of the MapleConnect programme.
MapleConnect is a developer support programme that enables Maple users to commercialise applications that they design and develop based on Maplesoft products.
Like other MapleConnect products, it can be purchased as a downloadable product from the Adept Scientific webstore.
